Foreign Divorce Opinion Letter

To obtain a foreign divorce opinion letter, you will need to provide certain documents to the lawyer handling your case. These documents include:
• Completed Application for Marriage: Each party intending to marry must complete this application.
• Divorce Decree: The original or a court-certified copy of the divorce decree.
• Statement of Sole Responsibility: A document signed by both parties confirming their responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided.
• Proof of Residency: A signed statement confirming that you or your previous spouse resided in the jurisdiction where the divorce was granted for at least one year before the divorce application.
From there, we will assist you to submit the application to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
